Halina Teresa Moscicki - a fine daughter, wife, mother, grand mother and a great great grand mother.
She was a professional, strong, independent, modern, wise and beautiful, hard working, caring and loving and always if needed ready to help provide advice. A person who believed that the "good" that you give and spread around will always come back to you. She also believed that women should "stand on their own feet" by obtaining adequate education and becoming independent productive citizens.
She is survived by her daughter Anna, her son Miroslaw,,her grandson’s: Sebastian, Przemyslaw, Wojciech, and granddaughter Alexandra as well as two beautiful great-great children: Lilah and Kuba.
Halina was borne in central-eastern Poland, she was just 2 years old when Poland was invaded by Germany during World War II. Her family struggled during the war, but they managed to send her to the "underground school" during the war. She was 5 years old when she started her primary education. Later on Halina finished a business school in Poland and began working at a local Polish bank. She met Wieslaw Gaska, a well respected Polish banker and got married. Halina and Wieslaw had two children, a daughter Anna and a son, Miroslaw. She became a widow at the age of 44 after her beloved husband passed away during the Russian occupation of Poland. In order to escape communist Poland, Halina emigrated to the USA in 1987 and later remarried. She became a widow again after his passing 5 years later. Later, she met a retired polish engineer, George Malewicz, they had been together for over 13 years. Despite their ups and downs, she fondly speaks about George.
Halina raised and educated two productive and respected children and four grand children, one of them, Wojciech just became a physician just one month before her passing.
Halina was a hard working women and never said no to extra assignments or overtime. Her manager Sonny and colleagues loved and respected her. She would help people in need and even lent her own money to one who was buying a house.
She was well respected and appreciated in her co-op apartment, often helping with baby sitting and companionship.
She will be remembered by all of us who had the pleasure to know her. She will be sorely missed by all of us.
