Jacqueline Rabbat Lakah, passed away peacefully on October 15,  2024 in Rego Park, NY at the age of 91 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Cairo, Egypt on April 14, 1933. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Antoine Lakah and her beloved parents Victor and Alice Rabbat.

Jacqueline Lakah is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; her children Micheline Lakah, Mireille Tracol and Caroline Andresen. She was a cherished grandmother to Valerie Julliand, Annie-Claude Maillochaud, Anne Charlotte Scheiner, Isabelle Gallagher and Eric Andresen and a loving great-grandmother to Camille and Maxime Julliand, Raphael and Brune Maillochaud and Luke and Owen Scheiner and her soon to be born great-grandchild Brady Gallagher. She is also survived by her two brothers Guy Rabbat and Joseph Rabbat as well as her niece Colette Taylor and nephews Ralph Rabbat and Patrick Rabbat.

Jacqueline Lakah earned a PhD from Columbia University in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies and taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology before becoming Dean of the Social Science Department.

Jacqueline was a kind, loving and generous person who will be deeply missed.
