Rettadel Juliet Tupper Crowe of Woodside, Queens NY passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 81. Retta was born April 16, 1942 to Loretta and Frederick Tupper and raised here in New York. She was a talented artist, singer, composer and dancer with many accomplishments such as her Broadway appearance as Gracie Miller in the 1957 production “Livin The Life", her 1962 hit single “Fooled” and “Unimportant Things”, her ballet performances at Lincoln Center, her art installations around New York City and her return in the 1980’s as a cabaret singer in Greenwich Village. In 1966, she married Steven Crowe who died in 1990. She enjoyed living and sharing stories regarding her many pets, most recent of which was her cat “Babe” and she took any opportunity she could to visit with her family. She loved most of all, the time spent with her surviving son, Thomas Crowe, her daughter-in-law Sabrina Burgi and her grandchildren, Aidan and Angela Crowe.
