George Pataki contributed with hundreds of articles for the amateur radio community published in magazines around the world and online. I counted almost 60 articles submitted by George to the web site I am running (Radioamator.ro, dedicated to amateur radio in Romania), 56 of them being published already and 2 more on the way. Little known is that George helped supply information that led to the publishing of the first callbook of Soviet radio amateur call signs. This encouraged other Eastern European radio clubs to send their lists to the Callbook. You will be missed George, by the entire ham radio community. With my deepest condolences, Ciprian Sufitchi.

George and I knew each other for years due to our mutual interest in amateur radio. He was generous to his amateur radio acquaintances in his homeland and was always sending them reading material and supplies. George also helped me with this hobby. His sense of humor made me laugh and I'll miss that. George, rest in peace.
