Obituary of Mary J Austin

Mary J. Austin passed away on July 20, 2021.  She was one month shy of her 95^th birthday.  Throughout her life, she was a tireless worker in the vineyard of the Lord. 

Nashville, TN was her beloved city of birth, but Queens, NY was her beloved adopted home.  In Queens she raised her own children, educated the children of others, and she practiced her faith daily.  She loved human beings, hated gossip, and tried to make humility her way of life.  All who knew her came to know her sweet disposition and her love for God. 

Mary was the cherished mother of Marianne Austin and Ernest Austin who greatly mourn her passing.  She is also mourned by several nieces and nephews (most notably, Jenniffer Chaviest, Marcia Kennedy and Richmond Zapp, Jr.) and several spiritual daughters who were her caregivers throughout her declining years. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
