John has been a freelancer with my agency since before I started working here. I handle freelancers, so over the years, I had the pleasure of working with him a lot. He was always one of my absolute favorite freelancers to work with. He would always come in with a smile on his face, laid back and understanding if there was any issues with his set up. When I told him that I had a lot of family in Ireland, he would tell me plenty of stories of what it was like back home for him. He was a wonderful person and he will be be so very missed.

John was a valued freelance writer who was called to our agency only when we wanted something creative--something with thought and flair. John was the quintessential gentleman who would often be asked to jump into projects midstream. He survived the banged about concepts, drifted with changing client currents, and would take us safely to the shore of a good idea or a presentation saved. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Our condolences to his family and friends. John, thank you for all you did. We wish you Godspeed on your journey.

I was so lucky to work in advertising with John for many years in Dublin and we never lost touch. He was a wonderful, warm, funny and caring man with a deep love for his family. John was also a talented writer and I treasure my copy of his novel 'A Relative Matter'. Friends like John come along only once or twice in a lifetime and I am so glad that I knew him. His passing has come as such a shock and my heart goes out to Nancy, Frank and Eleanor and all the family. I pray that you gain some comfort from knowing how much John was loved and respected by his friends and former colleagues. All of us will miss him dearly. May his generous soul rest in peace. Reggie (Regina Kealy).
