Lolo Jose was my maternal grandmother’s only brother and the oldest among the Azucena-Villa siblings. He stood as a father figure to my mom who had lost her dad at a very young age. Having raised (together with his wife, Lola Amparo) 3 daughters who are loving, kind-hearted, generous, and God-fearing, is a testament to his good-naturedness and strength of character.
Rest now, Lolo Jose. You have now joined your sisters and at home with your Heavenly Father. Please give my Lola Rosing a hug. We will all see each other again...
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Jose Azucena Villa - December 25, 1919 - July 19, 2019, a loving husband to Amparo, beloved father to Jessica & Norberto, Jocelyn & Constantin and Josephine, and grandfather to Jaclyn, Jo Ann & Leo, Alexander and great grandfather to Gab.
Lolo was a great man. His generosity has inspired the family to share even if we do not have enough. He taught us to persevere in life and to never give up. I will forever miss the moments that we shared with him. Our lives will never be the same without him but knowing that he is in a better place with our creator gives us relief.
I love you Lolo and I truly miss you. Until we meet again.

I love you tatay, you are more than a father to me, I will never forget your teachings and advices. I treasure the days when we were together. I missed you so much when you left to be with Nanay and my sisters in New York. After 20 years I was given a US visa and was reunited with you and the whole family, Im so blessed to celebrate my 70th birthday with you and the whole family.I'm so sad that I can't be with you on your last days and sending you to your final resting place. I know you'll understand Tatay and always remember I love you so much. Jose Villa , the most loving and generous father to Me, Celyn and Nadit, a loving husband to Nanay, and the best grandfather to your grandchildren.

Jose Villa, my grandfather whom I loved very much, a great man with a very good heart. As her first grandchild I felt the love of Lolo, who is always there for me and the whole family. In the morning he will go to church first, then when he comes back, he will bring us breakfast. Lolo will always share to me the story of his life, how he started his own business, and I learned a lot from his teachings, he will always tell me not to stop aiming high even if there will be obstacles along the way. Not to give up in life . I will miss him big time. Thank you Lolo for loving me and inspiring me. I love you so much. Rest in peace.

I love Jose Villa, tiyoy Jose as I call him. He is not only my first Uncle but a father to me. He seems to be always around when I was growing up and in my school days. I seek (and he never fails) advice, assistance and help in all matters from him. Tiyoy Jose brought me along in his business travels in Balasan and Manila, P.I. He guided me in my life. Lately, I tried to analyse the reason why he did these for me. It is because he loves me, his nephew. He never ask for anything back.
