Janusz Wojciechowski of Kew Gardens, NY, passed away on April 17th, 2019. Born in Poland in 1949, Janusz was a leader in the Solidarity movement in Silesia. Janusz immigrated to the United States in the 1980’s and was a proud New Yorker. From his early career in Poland, Janusz maintained an avid interest in the latest technology, and he worked in Information Technology at the New York City Department of Design and Construction for 30 years. Janusz constantly photographed the world around him, whether at home in New York or on his travels with his wife and friends. He delighted in sharing his love of art and music with his grandchildren. He tirelessly served his community as the President of the co-op board at The Crestwood on 84th Road for many years. Janusz was greatly loved and will be remembered as a man of many talents and a large personality, always willing to share his time, expertise, and encouragement.
He is survived by Jolanta, his wife of thirty-four years, his daughter Yvette Miller (Alex), and grandsons Jack and Liam.
