Obituary of Nilsa Chaluisant
Nilsa Chaluisant, a resident of Parkway Village Queens, was born in Puerto Rico in January of 1935 and died on October 24, 2018. She is the daughter of Hector and Antonia Chaluisant and is pre-deceased by her sister, Elba and her former spouse, Ralph. She leaves behind her son, Michael and his wife Lydia; daughter Lisette and husband Len; and son Kevin and Nancy. She also is the loving and favorite grandmother of Christopher and his wife Kaitlyn; Alicia and her husband John; Brandon and wife Valerie; Jonathan; Lauren and her husband Patrick; Clarissa and Lorena.
Finally, Gene, her faithful companion of almost 35 years gave her continuous guidance, loving support and unconditional love. She will be well remembered as a simple yet loving woman who was home base for her grandchildren after their college years. She welcomed everyone into her tiny apartment with food, drink and her undivided attention. At the same time, she was fiercely independent and did not ask for any assistance nor did she interfere with her family’s private lives. She loved to shop especially for her family and special friends.
Even though we will miss her tremendously, it was with some consolation that her parents, sister and other family members were there to guide her when she passed over; as were her favorite canine companions, Snowy and Kiki. She is at peace and we will remember and carry on her memory always
