Obituary of Miguel Lugo
Miguel A. Lugo born November 21, 1957 - August 18, 2018
Miguel A. Lugo passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Queens, New York. After a long battle with heart disease and surviving a massive heart attack at the age of 48 years old, he left us to be with the Lord.
Miguel (Mike) was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico in 1957 to Juanita Martinez Lugo (Small business owner) and Miguel Lugo (US Army Veteran). He came to New York at the age of 2 years old and was raised in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. He worked as a US Postal Service Letter Carrier in Bronx, New York where he won awards for excellent attendance and service. He was an avid Sports fan, Yankee fan, Award winning Salsa music dancer and loved Puerto Rico, culture and tradition.
He is survived by his five brothers and sisters, Luis, Angeles, Mirza, Nilda, Betty, and three half sisters Enid, Griselle, and Jeanette. He is also survived by twenty nieces and nephews and his girlfriend Nelly. He adored his mother Juanita who predeceased him.
Mike loved life and his family. He lived his life with passion and great respect and love for others. He is now in heaven with the Lord. We pray that he rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 1-4pm. and 6-9 p.m.
At Fox Funeral Home, 98-07 Ascan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church, Middle Village, New York and burial at St. John’s Cemetery.
Mike was loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed.
